Jesse Burgers

To each pound 90/10 ground beef, add a quarter cup very finely minced onion, two minced cloves garlic, a tablespoon each of salt, coarsely-ground black pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Form into thick patties and refrigerate for at least an hour. Cook on a very hot grill until just done; they should be pink in the middle. Top with smoked cheddar and serve with sour gherkins.
